NSW Health has put Penrith shoppers on alert after a man with COVID-19 attended Westfield Penrith last Saturday.

The man, who has only just been diagnosed, visited Westfield between 10.30am and Midday on Saturday, August 1.

He also visited venues in Canley Vale and Bankstown on Saturday.

The man is in his 20s and is from South Western Sydney. He’s a close contact of a previously reported case associated with the Mounties cluster.

Anyone who was at Westfield at the time is considered a casual contact and does not need to get tested unless they develop symptoms.

However, if they do develop symptoms they should get tested immediately and self-isolate.
