The NRL Integrity Unit will determine the short-term playing future of Penrith Panthers forward Tyrell Fuimaono after he fronted court on a charge of ‘hindering police’ today.

The 23-year-old, who joined the Panthers this season, plead guilty to the charge and left court with no conviction recorded.

“The matter is currently being assessed by the NRL Integrity Unit with the full assistance of Panthers,” the Panthers said in a statement.

“The club will be making no further comment until the NRL Integrity Unit has completed its assessment.”

Fuimaono was placed on a one year good behaviour bond over the 2018 incident, where he tried to pull his cousin away from a brawl outside a nightclub in Surry Hills.
