The 21-year-old man who was hit by a car on the M4 near the Mulgoa Road off-ramp last month has tragically passed away.
Just after 10pm on Saturday, May 18 emergency services were called to the scene after reports a pedestrian had been hit by a white Nissan utility travelling westbound.
It is suspected the man ran in front of the vehicle.
He was treated by paramedics and airlifted to Westmead Hospital in a critical and unstable condition.
He remained at Westmead Hospital in a critical condition but tragically passed away during the early hours of this morning.
Police are renewing their calls for witnesses to come forward and urge anyone with dash cam footage of the incident to hand it into the police.
A report is being prepared for the coroner.
