Penrith winger Tyrone Phillips has departed the club effective immediately.
Panthers General Manager Phil Gould will confirm shortly on ‘100% Footy’ that the 25-year-old and the club have parted ways.
“Tyrone has made a decision to resign from the Panthers effective immediately,” Gould said.
Gould said he was uncertain if Phillips would seek a contract elsewhere in the NRL.
The former Bulldog joined the Panthers in 2018 and has played nine first grade games with the club.
He was charged with mid-range drink driving over the weekend and will face court later this month. Phillips was also seen in a sex tape that became public during the off-season.
