The Caring Hearts Quilt Group are warming the community with their craft.
The group of 14 ladies have been making quilts for 18 years, donating them to welfare services who help the local community.
Margaret Collier has been a member since the beginning and has seen all the great work get passed on.
“Last year we made 277 quilts and we donated them to palliative care patients, cancer groups, women’s refuges and neo natal wards in the Nepean, Blue Mountains and Hawkesbury,’’ Ms Collier said.
The ladies are getting ready for their annual quilt airing, which will be held on Saturday, April 13 at the Arms of Australia Inn Museum, Emu Plains. The event will showcase all the beautiful quilts that have been made along with raffles, gift stalls and devonshire tea for sale.
The group also provides the ladies a social activity while working on their sewing skills.
