Police have launched an investigation following a fatal shooting in Colyton this evening.
Shortly after 9pm tonight, emergency services responded to reports of shots fired at a residence in Coral Pea Court, Colyton.
On arrival, officers attached to St Marys Local Area Command located a man, believed to be in his 30’s, with gunshot wounds.
The man was treated by NSW Ambulance Paramedics, but died at the scene.
“A canvass of the area is underway and police have established a crime scene, which is being examined by forensic and ballistic specialist,” A Police spokesperson said.
Nobody is in custody at this stage.
Detectives from St Marys Local Area Command, with assistance from State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad are conducting investigations, and are appealing for anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
