Man stabbed at Colyton

Police are appealing for assistance after a man was stabbed in Colyton this evening.

About 6.45pm, emergency services responded to reports that a man had been stabbed on Leonard Street, Colyton.

On arrival, officers from St Marys Local Area Command, found a man, aged 23, with a stab wound to the side of his upper body.

He was taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

A crime scene has been established and an investigation is underway.

Officers have been told that a short time after the stabbing a silver car was seen leaving the area.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or has information that may assist with their inquiries to call Crime Stoppers.
