A man is being questioned by police after reportedly attempting to kidnap a child from outside a school in Colyton this afternoon.
Exact details remain unclear but it’s understood the 10-year-old boy was leaving Bennett Road Public School at around 3pm when a male grabbed him and tried to take him away.
Quick thinking parents intervened, taking the child away from the man and escorting him to safety.
The parents detained the man until police arrived.
He was placed into custody and taken away for questioning.
