If you head into Kingswood Smash Repairs (KSR) on Friday, you will notice the team wearing their favourite NRL football jersey, all in the name of a good cause.
The team at KSR is raising money for the Fight Cancer Foundation by having their own ‘Footy Colours Day’.
Although there will be various colours representing different NRL club jerseys, KSR will be acting as one team on the day with a common goal of raising funds for charity.
Manager of KSR, Rod Matthew said the team was quick to get in on the action.
“There was no hesitation from anyone to do the charity lunch which was really nice,” he said.
“We’re all pretty passionate about it, it affects or has affected everyone in some way so to help out like this is really good.”
The team of almost 30 have put in $10 each to have a lunch on the day.
The Fight Cancer Foundation is primarily dedicated to helping patients with leukaemia and their families but also helps others suffering from other forms of cancer.
“It’s nice to give the team a break from working their long hours and raise some money for charity,” Mr Matthew said.
‘Footy Colours Day’ is an annual event with organisations, work places, schools and clubs joining in each year, having a bit of fun all for a good cause.
