Penrith has confirmed the signing of teen sensation Blaize Talagi on a three-year deal from next season.
The 19-year-old centre informed Parramatta earlier this month that he would not be re-signing with the club.
It was expected he would join Penrith but NRL formalities delayed an official announcement regarding his signing.
Having represented NSW Under-16s and Under-18s, Talagi made his NRL debut in Round 3 this season and has gone on to play 15 first grade matches, scoring 11 tries.
Demonstrating his versatility, the talented young player has excelled at fullback, wing, centre, five-eighth and off the interchange bench.
“Out of respect to his current club, Panthers will not make further comment at this stage,” the Panthers said in a statement issued this afternoon.
