One Nation and Australia First will both field candidates in Lindsay at this year’s Federal Election.
One Nation has confirmed that Chris Buckley will be its candidate in Lindsay. Buckley is a motor mechanic by trade and currently works as a sales manager.
“It’s heartbreaking to see people in Lindsay who once lived comfortably now struggling to make ends meet,” Buckley said.
“Homelessness in our area was once rare, but now it’s an everyday reality.”
Buckley says his campaign focuses on addressing key local and national issues such as the cost of living, affordable housing, rising energy costs, and ensuring community safety.

Jim Saleam has announced he will represent the Australia First Party on election day, announcing his candidacy in a six minute video filmed in South Penrith, where he largely discussed the anti-Semitism issues in Australia.
He contested the 2016 and 2019 Federal Elections in Lindsay, gaining a little over one per cent of the vote.
“It’s my submission that quite frankly the whipping up of anti-Semitism in Australia is largely a fraud,” Saleam said.
Buckley and Saleam will be hoping to disturb the dominance of the major parties in Lindsay.
Sitting MP Melissa McIntosh holds the seat for the Coalition and survived talk of a challenge from within last year. She holds the seat by 6.1 per cent.
Labor has tapped Hollie McLean, a Penrith City Councillor, as its candidate for the seat, though this has not been formally announced.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is set to announce the election in the coming weeks.
