Former Penrith and Parramatta rugby league star Peter Langmack has passed away.
He played 57 games for the Panthers and 36 for Parramatta during a career that started in 1971 and finished after the 1978 season.
It was book-ended by stints at the Eels in 1971-1972 and 1977-1978, with the rest of the time at Penrith.
He famously scored five tries in one match for Penrith against St George in 1974. It remains a Panthers club record.
The 73-year-old had been battling dementia for some time, and was living in Queensland.
Langmack is credited as Panther 95.
The club issued a tribute on social media this morning.
“Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Panther No. 95 Peter Langmack,” it said.
