A man known to a couple found dead in their Cambridge Park takeaway shop yesterday has been charged with their murder.
69-year-old Hoa Tek Chiem and his wife Heang Kim Gau, 68, were found dead with apparent stab wounds inside Buzzy Bee’s Burger House at Cambridge Park yesterday.
Strike Force Minlaton, comprising of detectives from Nepean Police Area Command, assisted by the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad, was formed to investigate the deaths.
Following inquiries, about 12.30am today (Sunday, December 1) police arrested a 31-year-old man at a home at Canley Heights.
That 31-year-old is Allan Chiem.
He was taken to Fairfield Police Station where he was charged with two counts of ‘murder (DV)’.
He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court later today.
Police will allege in court all three people were known to each other.
