Two-time Olympic champion Jessica Fox has completed her season in the Canoe with a gold medal and overall World Cup title at the 2024 ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup Final in La Seu, Spain.
With two golds and silver in the Canoe already this season, Fox was determined to bounce back from a fifth place finish in yesterday’s kayak final.
After finishing fifth in the semi final, Fox knew she had to put down a time that her competitors would find hard to chase, a position similar to that of the Paris Olympic Games.
Crossing the line in a time of 104.30, was enough for Fox to claim gold, 0.11 seconds ahead of Czech Republic’s Gabriela Satkova in second, and Great Britain’s Kimberley Woods in third.
The Canoe finals wrap up the penultimate day of racing, with the Kayak Cross champions to be determined tomorrow afternoon.
