Penrith has named superstar halfback Nathan Cleary to return from injury against the Dolphins on Sunday afternoon.

Cleary hasn’t played for the Panthers since suffering a hamstring injury for the second time this season in early June.

He missed the entire State of Origin series for the Blues.

Despite Cleary’s absence, the Panthers have managed to maintain their spot in the top four and currently sit in second position on the ladder.

They welcome the Dolphins to Penrith for the first time on Sunday afternoon.

Coach Ivan Cleary has confirmed that Dylan Edwards and Isaah Yeo will be rested, while Jarome Luai, Brian To’o and Liam Martin have been named on the extended bench.

There is speculation that Isaiah Iongi could make his NRL debut. He’s been named as 18th man, with Daine Laurie at fullback.
