A man aged in his 40s is fighting for life after being involved in a crash at Cambridge Gardens.
The accident happened at around 5.30pm today.
Traffic diversions are currently in place following the serious crash on Richmond Road at Cooper Street.
The accident involved a car and a motorcycle.
The rider of the motorcycle – aged in his 40s – was taken to hospital via Westpac Helicopter.
The female driver of the car was uninjured and is assisting police with inquiries.
Officers from Nepean Police Area Command remain on scene and will investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Major traffic diversions are in place – including the northbound lanes of Richmond Road.
Motorists are urged to avoid the area.
