At about 6.30am on Sunday, June 2 police were patrolling Cox Avenue, Kingswood.

Police have sighted a VW Golf stopped in the middle of the road. Police activated their warning devices and got out and approached the driver.

Police have had a conversation with the driver, a 39-year-old Kingswood man.

While police spoke with the man they could smell alcohol. The man was asked to produce his licence and the man told police he did not have his driver’s licence with him.

The man was arrested and taken to Penrith Police Station where he underwent a breath analysis test that returned a positive reading of 0.276.

The man’s licence was suspended and he will front court in July.
