A major IT issue has left Penrith locals waiting for scans, after hundreds of imaging appointments had to be cancelled.
The Weekender understands Nepean Radiology, which also encompasses Quantum Radiology, has been impacted by the incident.
Late last week, Nepean Radiology posted on Facebook that they are unable to process any patient appointments until further notice.
The imaging centre said: “Due to an IT incident, our practice is currently closed for most examinations and there’s limited ability to access reports or images. We are working hard to recover our system safely and securely… We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused by this incident.”
High Street Medical Imaging and Castlereagh Imaging remain unaffected by the incident. However, patients can expect longer than usual wait times due to the volume of examinations being conducted.
Nepean Radiology said they are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
