Sitting Mulgoa MP Tanya Davies has confirmed she will contest the 2023 State Election after being endorsed as the Liberal Candidate for Badgerys Creek.
Mulgoa will be abolished at the election and re-named Badgerys Creek, the first time the name has been used since 1999.
The seat takes in a number of Penrith Local Government Area suburbs including Glenmore Park, Orchard Hills, Mulgoa, Luddenham, Erskine Park, Wallacia, Regentville and St Clair. As part of the redistribution at the election, it will take in significant portions of the Liverpool Local Government Area and parts of Camden.
“I want to first and foremost thank the people of my electorate for their support over the years and for giving me the honour of serving as their local member in the NSW Parliament,” Mrs Davies said.
“If given the honour to represent you as the Member for Badgerys Creek in March 2023, I will continue to fight for you and what is rightfully ours in western Sydney.”
