Penrith forward Viliame Kikau is clear to play in his farewell appearance for the club despite being charged by the NRL’s Match Review Committee.
Kikau was hit with a grade three shoulder charge citing for an incident involving Campbell Graham in the 18th minute of last night’s win over Souths at Accor Stadium.
He faces two matches out if he contests the charge at the judiciary, but will escape with a monetary fine only if takes an early guilty plea. Kikau is certain to take the plea.
Meantime, winger Charlie Staines was also cited for a shoulder charge in the 54th minute. He too will escape with just a monetary penalty.
The Match Review Committee has come down hard on Souths winger Taane Milne, who was sent off for a high tackle on Spencer Leniu in the second half.
He faces six matches out with an early plea and seven games if he contests the charge and loses.
