As the clock struck midnight, keen customers made their way to Kmart and Spotlight to get their in person shopping fix.
Penrith Westfield saw shops reopening, people enjoying meals together and long awaited haircuts seemed to be a top priority.
Gyms saw an outpouring of fitness lovers coming back and the rain didn’t stop the drinks flowing as pubs and clubs welcomed patrons back.
The Red Cow was once again a popular watering hole for catch ups between friends and night shift workers to savour their first drinks after a long few months.
