TAB outlets to start opening next week

NSW TAB outlets will begin re-opening from next week after being given the green light by the NSW Government.

Stand-alone agencies closed from late March when the Coronavirus pandemic started to bite.

Now, punters will be able to return to their local TAB.

“We know many punters miss going to their local TAB. Following the changes announced by the New South Wales government we are aiming to have some TAB agencies in New South Wales operational during next week,” a Tabcorp spokesperson said.

“The reopening of TAB agencies in NSW will be in full compliance with government directions with no more than 10 customers allowed in an agency at any one time.

“We have developed protocols for the safe reopening of agencies and we will have a range of stringent cleaning and hygiene protections in place. We are focused on reopening our stand-alone TAB agencies first.

“We are working towards being able to safely reopen pub and club TAB outlets in due course.”

Local stand-alone TAB outlets are located on High Street, Penrith and Queen Street, St Marys.
