A resident of a nursing home in Caddens who had tested positive to Coronavirus has sadly passed away.
Staff from the Newmarch House facility, which has at least 30 confirmed cases of Covid-19 between its residents and staff, informed the family of the resident this morning.
The death was not reported as part of the NSW Health official update at Midday as it occurred after 8pm last night, which is the cut-off time for daily reporting.
Newmarch House has become a major concern for authorities, with the cluster now one of the biggest in Australia.
The Penrith Local Government Area has 90 confirmed cases of Covid-19.
