A man has died in a tragic crash at Silverdale, believed to have been caused partly by today’s wild winds.
About 1.50pm today, police were called to North Silverdale Road, near Pineridge Crescent after reports of a single truck crash.
“It is believed a branch from a tree has struck the window of the truck, causing it to lose control before hitting a tree,” a Police spokesperson said.
“The male driver, aged in his 30s, was airlifted to Nepean Hospital in a stable condition. The male passenger died at the scene.”
Silverdale Road is closed in both directions and a crime scene has been established.
