The Penrith Hospital Auxiliary is using fashion to fundraise.
They are teaming up with Golden Girl Fashion to raise funds for much-needed medical equipment for Nepean Hospital.
Assistant Secretary, June Hewett has been a member for 29 years and said they are trying something new this year.
“We are doing a fashion show where the garments are modelled by our own members. People can then browse all the clothes available and buy them and take them home that day,” Ms Hewett said.
“There will be range of smart casual ladies clothing of stylish and comfortable pieces that fit most shapes and sizes.”
Since 2015 the group has donated around $88,000 and encourage all to get involved.
“We buy things that they don’t have the money for in their budget but are crucial so it’s helping the staff and the patients,” Ms Hewett said.
“It is a social outlet for us to be involved and its giving back to the community as well.”
It is on Thursday, May 16 at St Stephens Church Hall at 10.30am. Tickets are $10 and include a light lunch. To find out more or to buy tickets call 47212237.
