A mother who drove drunk with five children in the car has been disqualified from driving for nine months.
Maria Pascualy Apin fronted Penrith Local Court on Monday charged with mid-range drink driving after failing a random breath test at Werrington on June 14.
Magistrate Stephen Corry questioned the number of drinks the defendant had, saying blowing 0.129 would suggest she had consumed more than two Jack Daniels and Cokes.
“You sure it wasn’t a bit more?” he asked.
He said she not only placed herself at risk, but also her children and the community.
She was convicted and fined $300.
