Designed by the community, for the community, the new Jordan Springs Community Resource Hub has now been approved by Council.
Construction is expected to commence later this year, and when completed will equip Jordan Springs with a state-of-the art facility to bring together local business and community groups.
Penrith Mayor, Karen McKeown, said the new addition to Jordan Springs will be a great asset to the community.
“The proposed Jordan Springs Community Resource Hub will be highly welcomed as a space for everybody to come together to connect, learn and grow,” she said.
The hub is a joint initiative between Penrith Council and Lendlease, to provide locals with the opportunity to access greater services from a range of training, health and recreational groups.
The hub will have meeting, IT and multipurpose rooms, a kitchen, and a 120-seat community hall.
General Manager for Lendlease Communities in NSW/ACT, Arthur Ilias, said Lendlease is looking forward to delivering the hub.
