ALDI Australia has confirmed Glenmore Park’s 20,000 residents will get their very own store by the end of next year.

An ALDI spokesperson said ALDI Glenmore Park will provide career opportunities for local residents by supporting up to 20 permanent staff positions.

“The latest advice from the developer is that the Glenmore Park store is on track to open in late 2017, with construction for the centre expected to commence shortly,” she said.

“We believe there is a strong appetite among Glenmore Park residents for an alternative grocery store and look forward to showing even more people the benefits ALDI can bring to their wallets and lifestyles.”

Once open, the store will have more than 1,000 square metres of retail space and promises shoppers 1,350 high quality products, including fresh fruit, vegetables and bread delivered daily.

ALDI’s Special Buys appear in store every Wednesday and Saturday, and can be any item from televisions and toys to kitchen utensils and clothing.

The spokesperson said it has not yet been determined whether liquor will be included in the Glenmore Park store.
