State Londonderry MP Prue Car has been promoted to Labor’s front bench.

Opposition Leader Luke Foley has confirmed that Ms Car, who was elected at the 2015 State Election, will take on the role of Shadow Minister for Skills as well as Shadow Assistant Minister for Education.

Ms Car also sits as a Councillor on Penrith City Council but will vacate that role at the next Local Government Election.

“The 2015 election saw 20 new and talented MPs elected for Labor to the Parliament,” Mr Foley said.

“Having a host of those MPs in Shadow Cabinet refreshes the front bench and brings a truck load of energy, enthusiasm and a focus on the future.

“This is an energised and refreshed Labor team determined to scrutinise the failures of this government and present a positive alternative to the people of NSW.”
