Police have charged a man in relation to an assault that occurred on a public bus in Kingswood last weekend.
Police allege that a 22-year-old Shalvey man, a passenger on a bus, made a number of threats toward a female passenger and male driver at about 2.15pm on Saturday, March 7.
Not long after, the male passenger allegedly indecently assaulted the female before grabbing her neck.
At this point, the driver has intervened and police were contacted. Police attended shortly after and arrested the man.
He was issued Court Attendance Notices for the offences of ‘Commit act of indecency’, ‘Common assault’, ‘Stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm’ and ‘Use offensive language in public place’. He was refused bail.
