A female teacher will appear in court next month after being charged with the alleged sexual assault of a student who was in her care.
Police from Parramatta Local Area Command have been investigating claims that a teacher had been having sexual intercourse with one of her students.
About 8.30am on Tuesday, investigators from Parramatta Local Area Command arrested a 44-year-old woman at St Marys and took her to Penrith Police Station.
She was later charged with sexual intercourse with child between 16 and 18 under special care (x 4).
The woman was granted conditional bail to appear at Penrith Local Court on January 19.
Inquiries into the incident continue.
