Police are investigating after an armed robbery at a restaurant in Kingswood overnight.
It was just after 8pm last night that a man armed with a knife entered the Bringelly Road restaurant.
Police have been told the man, whose face was covered, threatened a female staff member.
He then took cash from the register and ran from the premises.
No-one was injured in the incident.
Police from St Marys Local Area Command attended and began an investigation.
They are appealing for information from the public about a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.
The man is described only as being of Caucasian appearance, and with an average height and build.
