An alleged member of the Hells Angels has today been arrested by Homicide Squad detectives investigating a shooting incident at Eastlakes in July which left one man dead.
Strike Force Shenton is a Homicide Squad investigation into the shooting in the rear car park of a George Street unit block at Eastlakes about 10pm on Monday, July 8.
Police were told a group of men were fired upon by the occupants of a black vehicle, before returning fire.
One man, a 42-year-old member of the Hells Angels, died at the scene. A 25-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the leg.
About 7.15am today, officers from the Tactical Operation Unit arrested a 36-year-old man at a home in Cranebrook.
The man, an alleged member of the Hells Angels, has been taken to Penrith Police Station as inquiries by the Homicide Squad continue. Detectives anticipate he will be charged with shoot with intent to murder.
A 28-year-old man has also been arrested at Kingswood in relation to allegedly concealing a serious offence.
Investigations into the shooting incident, including the identity of those in the black vehicle, are continuing.
