If you’re single and over 55 then there’s a new friendship group in Penrith getting you out and about so you don’t miss a thing.
The friendship group is open to single men and women in the local area who want to venture out and make new friends in their twilight years.
There’s currently 10 people in the group but they are looking to expand with a fresh batch of new faces.
“We started the group to meet people and make new friends,” group member Tricia Knight said.
“We meet once a month for a meeting at a member’s house where we plan our program of things to do. We usually have our outings on Friday nights, Saturdays and Sundays.”
On a regular basis the group takes part in dinners, dancing, concerts, musicals or even the odd day at the beach.
If people are interested in joining the friendship group a program of upcoming events can be mailed out for people to consider.
