Police remain on the scene of an armed robbery at Colyton this evening.
About 7.45pm, police were called to a convenience store on Bennett Road, Colyton, after reports of a man armed with a shotgun robbing the shop.
After demanding cigarettes the man left the store, dumping the cigarettes and the firearm before fleeing the scene.
Police from St Marys Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.
The firearm was seized and will be subject to forensic analysis.
Police remain on the scene speaking to witnesses.
