There were traffic delays on Sunday around 11:45am when three cars were involved in an accident at the corner of Mulgoa Road and Ransley Street.
Police allege that a silver ford falcon ran into a grey Mazda forcing it onto the opposite side of the road and into the path of a white Hyundai sedan.
The Jamisontown male driver of the Ford and the Cranebrook woman driving the Mazda were taken to hospital for treatment.
Anyone who saw the accident should contact Penrith Police.
Meanwhile, Police are appealing for witnesses after a car was set alight near a residence on Reynolds Road, Londonderry.
About 12.20am today, residents saw a man dressed in dark clothing. Moments later a car was set alight. Anyone with information should contact Penrith Police via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
