A man has been arrested following a pursuit in Sydney’s western suburbs yesterday.
About 1.50pm yesterday, police attempted to stop a blue coloured Ford travelling west on the M4 Motorway at Eastern Creek. Police allege the vehicle was stolen.
Police activated their lights and sirens however the driver allegedly ignored police directions and failed to stop.
The car was pursued along the M4, the Northern Road, Glenmore Parkway, Wentworth Road, Verdelho Road, Tramine Grove, and the Muscatel Way, Orchard Hills, where he was arrested after a foot pursuit.
The 32-year-old Kingswood man was taken to Penrith Police Station and subsequently charged with assault cause grievous bodily harm, take and drive conveyance, drive in a manner dangerous to public, Skyes Law (police pursuit), and resist arrest.
He was refused bail to appear at Penrith Local Court today.
