Teen approached at Colyton

Police are appealing for public assistance after a teenage girl was approached by two men in western Sydney yesterday.



 

The 14-year-old girl has told police she was approached by two men in a white van while she was standing outside a school on Carpenter Street, Colyton, about 8.30am on Tuesday.

 

The men reportedly began talking to the girl and repeatedly attempted to entice her into the van.

The girl refused before walking off and reporting the incident to her principal.

 



Police were notified and officers attached to St Marys Local Area Command attended and spoke to the girl before canvassing the area.

 



Officers are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or any suspicious activity in the vicinity of Carpenter Street, to come forward. 



 

The first man is described as being of Middle Eastern / Mediterranean appearance, aged 20 to 30 years, with a dark complexion and short black hair.

 

He was wearing black shorts and a yellow fluorescent work shirt.



 

The second man is also described as being of Middle Eastern / Mediterranean appearance, aged 30 to 35 years, with a dark complexion.

 

He was also wearing a fluorescent work shirt.
