Man killed by car

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a pedestrian in Penrith yesterday.

About 3pm on Wednesday, a man was crossing the Parker Street, Penrith near Barber Street, when he was hit by a northbound Toyota Hilux.

 

He was then struck by a Holden Cruze that was also travelling northbound on Parker Street.

 

The 25-year-old man, who is an Indian National, sustained critical injuries and was pronounced deceased at Nepean Hospital.

 

Both drivers were submitted to mandatory drug and alcohol testing.

 

A number of witnesses have been interviewed and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
