Police concerned for missing man's welfare

Police are appealing for public help to locate a 35-year-old man who was last seen walking from Mt Druitt to his St Marys home.

Lauvailetoa (Vai) Toomalatai was last seen leaving a relative’s home in Mt Druitt on Sunday afternoon (May 3) with the intention of returning to his Edmonson Street residence.

He did not reach home and police were alerted by his concerned relatives last night.

Police and Mr Toomalatai’s family are concerned for his welfare as he has limited speech due to a medical condition and no access to money, medication or a mobile phone.

He was described to police as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, 175cm tall, of medium build and dark hair.

When he was last seen Mr Toomalatai was wearing grey track pants, black joggers, a green jumper and was carrying a red back pack.

Police are urging anyone who sees the missing man to call them on 1800 333 000.
