On Saturday 27th October from 2pm-4pm Windsor District Baptist Church is holding an afternoon event for people of all ages called “Hymns R Us-An Afternoon with Fanny Crosby.”
Fanny Crosby lost her eyesight at the age of 6 weeks due to a doctor’s incorrect diagnosis. This did not stop her from living a long and active life most famously as a writer of over 9,000 hymns, many of which are still sung today. Her story is a fascinating one of overcoming disability and grief in losing her only child at just a few months of age. She worked tirelessly for the poor and destitute in her community.
Come along and enjoy an afternoon singing some of her hymns. The event if free but an offering will be taken up to support Christian Blind Mission and missionary work in Austria. For further information contact the Church Office Phone: (02) 4572 6952
