An excellent opportunity

In this column I usually cover an area my clients have sought help in. This week I’m going to talk about a program that is almost too good to be true.

It’s a very easy sell as it is free of charge, all of it!

The Penrith Digital Enterprise Program provides businesses, not for profits or local community groups, with the opportunity to consider their existing and future digital strategy and the skills to achieve them.

The Penrith Digital Enterprise Program is a partnership between Nepean Community College and the Penrith Business Enterprise Centre (BEC) and is supported by the Australian Government.

You basically only need an ABN number to register and can begin your journey either by calling the Nepean Community College or the BEC – see details below.

Briefly, most of the workshops are free at the Nepean Community College. They cover everything to do with the digital economy such as using social media to grow your business, how to choose a platform for your website, what makes a good website, how to use certain Microsoft applications like PowerPoint, skype and other video conferencing tools and the list goes on.

Once you have attended a minimum of one workshop, you can then come to the BEC and get four free hours of business advice specific to your business and needs. It’s an amazing service that many have already taken advantage of but there is plenty more to come.

Over the course of the next 12-18 months there will be another 40 workshops delivered on the areas mentioned above and more. To find out more phone (02) 4721 5011.
