A Penrith couple have declared they’re taking the rest of the week off work to celebrate winning $200,000 in today’s Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The New South Wales winners held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1514, drawn today.
When an official from The Lott called the pair, they had just checked their ticket and made the startling discovery themselves.
“This is good,” the winning man laughed.
“My wife is crying; she’s crying a lot. I am feeling quite shocked to be honest!
“I checked our online account before, and I haven’t been able to sit still since then.
“It’s a big surprise!
“The only reason we bought this ticket was because we had $5.50 in our account and thought we might as well use it. We never buy Lucky Lotteries tickets!
“It really feels amazing!
“I think we are going to have to call in sick to work for the rest of the week. There’s no way we will be able to concentrate!
“We’ve already got food ready for dinner, but we’re not eating it. We’re definitely going to have something nice to celebrate.”
When asked how they planned to enjoy their prize, the stoked couple had a few things in mind.
“There are a few renovations we’d like to do on the home,” the winning woman explained.
“We’d also like to do a few trips around Australia, and then we will put some aside for when we can go overseas. We’ll hopefully be able to do a big trip next year.”
The winners, who wish to remain anonymous, purchased their entry of one number from thelott.com.
