Police are appealing for information after a man was carjacked by two men impersonating police officers in Cambridge Park yesterday.
About 3am on Tuesday, a white Subaru station wagon with flashing blue and red lights stopped behind a stationary grey Subaru WRX on Oxford Street, Cambridge Park.
Two men exited the station wagon and approached the 29-year-old male driver of Subaru WRX and identified themselves as police officers.
“The men told the driver to exit the vehicle so they could perform a search,” a Police spokesperson said.
“Following the search, one of the men left the scene in the man’s vehicle, while the other left in the station wagon.
“The driver was not physically injured and reported the incident to Nepean Police Area Command.”
As inquiries continue, police would like to speak to two men who may be able to assist with ongoing investigations.
One man is described as being of Aboriginal/ Torres Strait Islander appearance, aged between 20 and 30, about 180cm tall, with a stocky build and long hair in a ponytail.
The second man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his mid-30s, with a slim build.
He is described as wearing a black Nautica T-shirt, black chino pants, black gloves, and Nike shoes.
