Multiple injuries following truck crash at Luddenham

Three men were injured following a head-on truck collision in Luddenham earlier this afternoon.

About 1.30pm, emergency services were called to The Northern Road at Luddenham following reports of a crash.

Officers attached to Liverpool Police Area Command attended, along with NSW Ambulance paramedics and Fire and Rescue, and found two trucks had collided head-on.

The driver of one truck, aged 25, sustained minor injuries.

A 25-year-old male passenger within the same truck suffered two broken legs. He was trapped for a short period of time before being removed from the vehicle.

Both men have been conveyed to hospital, with the driver to participate in mandatory testing.

The driver of the second truck, a 40-year-old man, was also trapped inside the vehicle before being released. He was conveyed to hospital with serious injuries.

The Northern Road remains closed in both directions with diversions onto Elizabeth Drive.

Inquiries continue into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
