A former Rebels outlaw motorcycle gang (OMCG) member will re-appear in court today charged with drug supply offences following an investigation by Strike Force Raptor.

In May 2019, the Criminal Groups Squad’s Strike Force Raptor began an investigation into the supply of prohibited drugs by members and associates of the Rebels OMCG.

Just after 6.30pm on Thursday, November 21, Strike Force Raptor investigators pulled over a vehicle in Caddens and spoke with the 41-year-old male driver.

During a subsequent search of the vehicle, police located and seized methylamphetamine (ice).

Shortly after, investigators executed a search warrant at a property at Caddens, where they located a further 15.7g of methylamphetamine inside a motorcycle, and more than $8,000 cash concealed under a trailer.

The man, who is a former Rebels OMCG member, was arrested and taken to St Marys Police Station.

He was charged with two counts of ‘supply prohibited drug (indictable quantity)’, ‘deal with property proceeds of crime’, and ‘organise/conducts etc drug premises expose child’.

It will be alleged that the man had methylamphetamine in a home where three children, which includes a newborn baby, were also residing.

The man was refused bail and appeared at Penrith Local Court on Friday November 22, where he was granted strict conditional bail to re-appear at the same court today.

Strike Force Raptor was established in 2009 and conducts proactive investigations and intelligence-based, high-impact policing operations to prevent and disrupt conflicts, and dismantle any network engaged in serious organised criminal activity.
