A new serviced apartment building in Penrith is set to re-define quality residences in the CBD.

Work has now commenced on the building at 21-25 Woodriff Street.

“Astina Suites will be a brand-new serviced apartment building that will soon join Penrith’s skyline,” said Astina Director William Schrumpf.

“Since going to EOI back in 2014 this project has been meticulously refined to ensure we deliver the best outcome for the city. The development features 58, two and three bedroom apartments including a range of penthouse suites sleeping up to 250 guests on any given night.”

The project will also include ground floor retail and commercial opening toward Memory Park, adding to the café and restaurant scene which will encourage night and day activation. In addition to the ground floor activation, the rooftop will feature a pool, spa, gym and conference room.

Work will begin on Astina Suites shortly.

“We are determined to raise the bar in accommodation in the area, and give Penrith what it truly deserves. A 5-star serviced apartment building in the heart of the CBD whilst still being affordable and in line with market rates,” Mr Schrumpf said.

“Our construction schedule is just over 12 months with our first guests expected in December 2020.”

Construction getting underway means that the temporary car park on the site has now closed.

“We know parking is a contentious issue in town, and we are apologetic for the inconvenience caused for those who have been parking on site for years,” Mr Schrumpf said.

“However, this is progression and will truly put Penrith on the map for accommodation and will give back to our economy 10-fold. In addition to the 250 guests spending in our town, throughout construction we will generate over 500 jobs through local contractors and on completion another 50 jobs in the area.”
