Emergency services were called to The Northern Road at Luddenham after a northbound Yaris and a southbound Corolla collided head-on at 5.25am.
A woman driving the Yaris has sustained multiple injuries and is being treated at the scene by paramedics; it’s planned she will be airlifted to Westmead Hospital once she is stable.
A teenage girl travelling with the woman has escaped injury. She is being cared for by her family.
A man driving the Corolla has been taken by road ambulance to Liverpool Hospital suffering leg and abdominal injuries. Police have been told the injuries are not life-threatening.
