Local women in business and aspiring entrepreneurs are preparing to celebrate the first NSW Women’s Week by attending a thought-provoking forum led by some of the best women in business.
Minister for Women and Member for Mulgoa Tanya Davies said the forum – to be held on Tuesday, March 5 at Penrith Panthers – will provide powerful insight into women’s entrepreneurship.
“Less than a third of NSW business owners are women and the NSW Government is committed to increasing this number,” Mrs Davies said.
“This event will give women living and working in Western Sydney insight on how to start or grow a business and troubleshoot challenges unique to women in this space.”
Mrs Davies encouraged local women to get involved with free tickets still available.
“If you are interested in hearing more – join us for the forum, it will be a wonderful opportunity to meet and learn from like-minded women,” Mrs Davies said.
Business Women in Western Sydney will offer two inspirational panel discussions:
• The Potential Entrepreneur – Demystifying the myths
• Growing Your Business – Expanding, pivoting or going international
There will be two moderators and six accomplished panel members, including local woman Kelly-Anne Cummings, founder of the Work Life Balance Academy.
“There has never been a better time for women entrepreneurs to rise up – there is so much more support available now. Women’s networking events like this have been key to my own personal success,” Mrs Cummings said.
