Trains cancelled due to fatality at St Marys

The rail network is in chaos this morning with a fatality at St Marys set to cause major delays throughout the morning peak.

The incident happened around an hour ago.

Trains travelling away from the city are not stopping at St Marys. Buses are being organised to take passengers from other stations to St Marys.

A number of services have already been cancelled including the 6.37am Penrith to Central service, the 6.51am Penrith to Central Service and the 6.55am Penrith to Central Service.

Further cancellations are expected throughout the morning.

Meanwhile, motorists travelling towards the city on the M4 in Eastern Creek are experiencing significant delays due to a multi-vehicle crash.

Only one citybound lane is open, with two lanes of the motorway closed at Reservoir Road.
